Policy makers are challenged with rising and emerging change pressures on traditional urban water management practices and infrastructures. This seventh issue of the TRUST Magazine presents a handbook for policy makers which provide information and assistance for shaping the transition towards sustainable urban water services of tomorrow. The magazine also focuses in the TRUST's work area 5 "Future policies & integrated tools" whose main purpose is to produce guidance materials and software that can guide policy makers, managers and water professionals in the transition for more sustainable urban water services. Dr. Helena Alegre, leader of this area, explains us the purpose of the WP5 area and its main achievements, as well as some of the challenges and problems the water sector faces at the moment. Finally you will find a short outlook on upcoming deliverables and key information about the Cities of the Future Conference which will take place on the 28th of April in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany).
